Besides all of our community sound events and workshops, Sarah also provides a private one on one or group gong/sound bath experience. For one person or a small group, the sound bath is specifically tailored to the needs of the recipients. Sarah uses a variety of instruments most notably the Monochord Chair, Chimes, Gongs, Drums and Bowls. She also uses to the voice to facilitate transformation.

For one on one gong therapy sessions an in-depth consultation is taken before embarking on the sonic treatment. You will have the opportunity to lie either on a treatment couch or on a yoga mat during the session or sit in a chair if you prefer. No clothes (except for shoes and outdoor coats) are removed, so it is advised to wear comfortable clothing for the session. After the treatment has ended you will be allowed a restful Shunyata (silent relaxation) to allow the healing work to integrate.
Cautions and Contraindications
Although Sound Healing is very therapeutic and relaxing, there are some conditions when either cautions should be exercised or there may possibly be a total contraindication. If you have any queries about any of the following please message us before booking a ticket or arranging an appointment.
- Tinnitus – the sounds may aggravate existing tinnitus, although many tinnitus sufferers attend a gong bath without any adverse effects (caution only)
- Menieres Disease
- First Trimester of Pregancy contraindicated and thereafter if at risk, otherwise OK to receive.
- Advanced stages of cancer
- Those who have pacemakers fitted unless with doctor’s approval.
- Epilepsy
- Recent Hip/Joint Operations, Metal Implants (we have found that if the implants have been in situ for a number of years it is rare to experience any problems).
- Severe Osteoporosis
- Severe Mental Health Illnesses
